While the fundamental sound of the band has remained pretty much the same for nearly four decades it’s a timeless brew that defies all trends. Love it or hate it — and there are few who take the middle ground with this band — you have to respect an act that has such high standards for performance and production. Unlike some of the other classic-rock bands that are on the road these days Rush didn’t have to hype their tour as a reunion or a farewell or pad the bill with hip opening acts.
